Bio:
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself! I have had a strong interest in all things artistic most of my life-always coming back to it in different stages-drawing for hours as a kid, in several classes in college, at art school when my youngest son went to kindergarten, and, right now that I have a rapidly approaching empty nest (a son who just graduated from the Naval Academy and a son who is a sophomore at Virginia Tech). As much as I love to dive into my own artistic projects, I get so much creative energy from so many of the art students I've had over the past 16 years. My art and jewelry are inspired by the many miles I've run and hiked in the woods, on our several epic cross-country road trips throughout this amazingly beautiful country, my yoga practice of 20 years, trips to the coast, and in my own backyard. I am so grateful for my very supportive extended family, wonderful and encouraging friends, and a goofy and gorgeous rescue dog who loves trails as much as I do.
